Could things get any stranger in River Forest?
Instead of running from the Amalgamated bond issue, John Rigas is running to Frank Paris’s rescue stopping village meetings to fashion responses to simple “yes or no” questions. Please don’t tell me that Amalgamated is involved with D200 as well? Oh, sorry, it is.
As an Oak Park resident, I recall Mr. Rigas promising “measurable results” as D200 board president when he foisted round two of the great OPRF “backdoor tax swipe.” I guess we were naive to think he meant measurable “improvements,” not “declines.” Well, at least his message is clear, “if you like what he did with the high school’s finances, you’ll love what he’ll to do River Forest village finances.” Well, at least he’s not managing my tax dollars any more.
