Many Family Service supporters gathered at the Oak Park Country Club on Friday, May 2, for the Annual Spring Gala, “Cultivating Healthy Minds and Healthy Communities.”

This year’s gala rejuvenated guests as landscapers, landscape designers and floral businesses operating in Oak Park, River Forest and Forest Park transformed the Oak Park Country Club into a virtual conservatory. The agency then presented the group with the Family Service 2008 Community Partnership Award in recognition of their contributions to the communities.

An assortment of raffle and auction items offered something for everyone. The auctioneer for the evening, Jack Crowe, enlivened the dining room atmosphere with songs and spirited stories that inspired people to bid. Family Service thanks the Annual Spring Gala Committee and corporate sponsors for participating in refreshing, regenerating, and reviving partnerships within the community while generating approximately $70,000 for valuable programs and services.
