Proverbs 22:1: A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

I would like to bring to your attention an ordinary lady with an extraordinary mission. Ellen Barton is nurse manager of the PCC Community Health Center, located at 14 W. Lake St. in Oak Park. Ellen’s many years of nursing and teaching have brought about healing, valuable knowledge and lasting friendships.

Upon visiting the health center, there’s a professional atmosphere one might experience at a Michigan Avenue office. In addition, the health center provides medical attention to all people, regardless of race, gender or economic standing. You will find a professional staff who make a doctor’s visit worth looking forward to.

Due to my heritage and customs, I celebrate Black History Month. I also celebrate Ellen Barton–a lady of all the people and for the people. Ellen’s years as a medical provider, her dedication, perseverance and deep devotion to her patients have served to make a difference in many lives.

The Lake Street facility is a rather fast-paced center, of which Ellen oversees the many services provided to the patients–from the various medical providers to the laboratory and the Social Service provider. The health center is run expediently and efficiently.

Ellen Barton, CNP, is truly a lady of high esteem. She is someone to know.
