We shop at Green Home Experts located at 823 S. Oak Park Ave. a lot as a family. At this point I consider Maria, the owner, a friend. She is a young business leader who is outgoing and friendly. I think most of her customers consider her a friend.
And she has this drive to provide our community with green focused products even if they don’t necessarily “fit” with her initial green home hardware store mission.
Maria gladly accepted recycled bracelet art to sell in her store – made by some Lincoln School girls in the neighborhood. She sells some recycled art from featured Oak Park Art League artists. And she sells the denim bags that youth at Oak Leyden have stitched together as a fund raiser.
Typically she has a lot of “out of the box” Christmas gift options, or birthday gift options in our case most recently.
My son had been eyeing the recycling truck, made out of recycled materials for weeks. So for his birthday – it was an easy choice. Thanks to grandma, my son had a fantastic birthday of racing back and forth with his recylcing truck all day long.
My point? I may get my Parsley Plus cleaning spray (highly recommended) here. And I have repainted many a room safely with the help of Green Home Experts. And I salivate over the kitchen counter replacement options. But I get lots of other things here too.
