One of my favorite local events to kick off the festive season: The Holdiay Housewalk & Market! This year with over 40 vendors participating, there is something for everyone’s holiday shopping list; including: hostess gifts, thank you cards, place settings, children’s gifts, gourmet food, handmade scarves & gloves.
The largest fundraiser of the year for the Oak Park River Forest Infant Welfare Society, the Holiday Housewalk and Market is built around three undeniable pillars of the holiday season: beautifully decorated homes, shopping for gifts and helping others in keeping with the spirit. The homes include: a German Christmas, an English country cottage, a traditional Georgian and more.
An especially festive atmosphere this year with food & drink on all three days, with beer tastings, tea and desserts, music and valet parking. All are welcome to shop for a good cause!

Preview Party: Thursday, December 3rd: 6 to 9:30 p.m., 19th Century Club.
Housewalk: Friday, December 4th: 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 5th: 1 to 5 p.m.
Market: Thursday during the Preview Party; Friday 3 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, December 5th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
