The deadline for those who’ve taken Oak Park’s summer outdoor sculpture walk to vote for their favorite work is less than a week away.

Those interested in participating must do so by Sunday, Sept. 30 by voting on the online survey. The walk, which consisted of 12 pieces for permanent display in the community, was organized by the Public Art Advisory Commission. The group is considering recommending that the village board purchase one of the walk’s 12 pieces for permanent display in Oak Park.

By ranking the art, residents can help commission members determine if a piece should be purchased and if so, which piece should be supported.

The public art will be on display at locations on Lake Street and Forest Avenue through Oct. 14. To participate, visit the website and rank the sculptures by preference. For more information on the sculpture walk, including photos, descriptions and a map of the sites, visit the village’s website.
