Schneider qualifies for Olympic Trials

Fenwick swimmer Mimi Schneider qualified for next summer’s Olympic Trials with her performance at the USA Swimming Junior National Meet in Palo Alto, Calif.

Schneider qualified in the 50 and 100 freestyle events as well as the 100 butterfly.

The sophomore opened the high school season last week by tying the team record in the 100 butterfly (57.56 seconds).

There is no such thing as the Junior Olympics. The meet is called the Junior National Championships.
