Blackhawks on the big screen at FitzGerald's

By Ken Trainor
FitzGerald's Night Club in Berwyn (Clarence Avenue and Roosevelt Road) will feature the Stanley Cup finals on their 9 x 16-foot screen for as long as the series runs (with one exception).
The Chicago Blackhawks will take on the Boston Bruins over the next two weeks to determine who takes home that great big trophy. The Hawks' goal horn and song ("Chelsea Dagger") will be enhanced via the club's sound system to make the experience even more intense. Food (sandwiches and pizzas) will be available from Capri Ristorante next door, plus beer specials at the bar. Families are welcome.
Here's the schedule:
- Wednesday, June 12, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, June 15, 7 p.m. Heartsfield will play immediately after the game around 9:30 p.m.
- Monday June 17, 7 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 19, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, June 22: No viewing that night. The club is closed for not one but two weddings.
If necessary, Monday, June 24, 7 p.m. Joel Patterson and the Modern Sound will play between quarters or outside in the beer garden. James Hunter Six will go on after the game around 9:30 p.m.
If necessary, Wednesday, June 26, 7 p.m.

If any team can come back and win a series after falling behind, it's this bunch of talented and well-coached guys. It's great watching sports at FitzGerald's, whether in the Side Bar or in the Big Room. You can always count on a bunch of smart and spirited fans being there.
