Stray dog on expressway near Oak Park slows morning traffic

By Anna Lothson
If you're wondering why the Eisenhower was backed up this morning around Oak Park, particularly more than normal, here is your answer.
The Animal Care League in Oak Park gained a stray dog after it was rescued following reports of the dog roaming on the expressway near the Harlem Avenue exit Thursday morning.
The dog was reportedly running on the expressway near the border of Oak Park and Forest Park around 8:30 a.m. Forest Park police responded to the scene and were able to secure the dog. It was brought to the Animal Care League for evaluation.

Poor dog. I feel sorry if Marci gets him. Will surely wind up being put to sleep. Takes perfectly good dogs and euthanizes them. I would rather have had the dog take its chances on the expressway. It would have a better chance to survive.
