For those who feel compelled to hide behind the internet and criticize -- you are not criticizing a nameless, faceless organization, but are criticizing your neighbors and fellow members of the local hockey community who are volunteering thousands of hours to the game of hockey. Shame on you. For those who are disappointed that there is not a 30+ alumni game this year. Sorry you are disappointed. Please contact the Club to plan the 2014 game. Without a name, the Club can't contact you.

To Disgust, Alumni and Dad, Thank you for your anonymous comments. The hockey club is run by parent volunteers and I'm very proud of the work we do on behalf of the players. Last year we held an alumni game for players younger than 30 and one for those older than 30. This year Ridgeland Commons is under construction and it is very difficult to find ice. If you are interested in helping plan a game, please let me know and I'd be happy to help you. My name and email is posted above.

As a parent of a current OP youth hockey player, I sincerely hope the HS hockey organization turns itself around. Its sad that kids today have to choose between playing quality hockey and playing for their high school.

I was wondering the same thing. But after asking around I was told the people running it are only concerned about their children that recently left the program. This program while yes have done things around the community, but the program as a whole has gone down the tubes. They hire this Dyson guy(who was not liked at his last school) who promised the world and has done nothing with it. Look at the numbers. All of the talented players are playing for clubs. In my eyes alumni is alumni!

how come 30 and under only? They could make some money on it with older players, or collect money and put towards a charity. Missed last years game and shut out of this year all together based on age. Too bad.
