The public town hall organized by 8th District state Rep. LaShawn Ford concerning low-level marijuana crimes takes place from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 29 at Oak Park Village Hall Council Chambers, 123 Madison.
The town hall will allow the community to weigh in on whether to ‘decriminalize’ minor marijuana offenses in favor of fines and treatment. Ford is among a handful of state, local and county officials pushing for such a change in the laws.
