It is my sincere wish that everyone will give a very warm welcome to the Macy store in Chicago. I don’t really understand why so many would-be customers are up-in-arms against such a beautiful department store as Macy’s.
Originally from New York, I did all my Christmas shopping at Macy’s-it was my favorite store-and yes, back to school clothing for the kids.
I for one, welcome my favorite department store to State Street in Chicago. This is really a great day, a very great day, and I am elated with excitement. Be assured, I now have an excuse to go down to Chcago on the Metra, and shop to my heart’s content. It will almost feel like being back home to New York to visit. I would not dream of returning to Oak Park without something from Macy’s. Besides no one can arrange a parade like the Macy parade at Thanksgiving. What memories. The very best parade ever. They are famous for it.
So, a BIG welcome to Macy’s.
