A woman disguised as a man robbed the US Bank on 6700 W. North Ave., according to the Chicago Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The FBI's Bandit Tracker website gives few details about the robbery, but notes that it was not a takeover robbery, meaning no one was taken hostage. The robbery occurred at 1:51 p.m., the FBI reports.

FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde said in a telephone interview that a weapon was not used in the incident and no injuries were reported. "She made a threatening demand for money," Hyde said, but did not give details.

The robber is described as a Hispanic woman in her mid-20s, standing 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-7, with a large build, fake mustache and wearing a dark Nike sweatshirt, a silver Blackhawks cap and sunglasses.

Bank officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Did this happen today? Last week? Last year? This article could be improved immensely if it included the day/date of the robbery.
