Steve Talianko, 94, of Oak Park, died on Sept. 12, 2020. Born on Sept. 10, 1926, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. A graduate of Purdue University and a member of Iron Workers Local #1 in Chicago, he retired after many years from the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Chicago.
Steve was the husband of Rosemary; the father of Robert (Sheila), Kenneth (Debbie) Talianko, and Betsy (Richard) Bush; grandpa of Kimberly and Laura (Jason Young) Talianko and Jennifer (Brad) Romine, Ryan, Travis and Evan Talianko, and Lauren Fencl and Allison Bush; great-grandpa of 3; and brother of the late Betty Polak and Anna Kruto.
A funeral Mass was held Sept. 19 at Ascension Church in Oak Park.
Interment was held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
