The Sept. 4 issue of Wednesday Journal has an article by Robert Lifka titled, “River Forest trustees balk at native lands statement.” The report says such statements are “commonplace … according to the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture.” The implication is that this is a department of the federal government rather than a not-for-profit organization with a political mission. Mr. Lifka should have explained this in the article rather than misleading the readership.
