Helping to spread the word, and the plants

Thanks again for the terrific coverage of Birds, Bees, and Butterflies: A Native Garden Tour [Garden tour highlights plants that attract pollinators, News, Aug. 7]. We had a 25 percent increase in attendance this year — up from less than 200 last year to 250 this year. It really helps to have local media that can spread the word and reach a broader audience with this important message. It makes me so happy to think of all those plants that will be going in the ground next year — and the new life they'll bring to our communities.
