William Forrest (Bill) Biagi, 82, of Oak Park died on Saturday evening, Aug. 8, 2015.

Born in Oak Park to William Andrew and Alma (Cleveland) Biagi in January 1933, he was a graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School and went on to graduate from Roosevelt University. He was an avid high school and collegiate sportsman and served in the U.S. Army in the early to mid-1950s at Fort Riley, Kansas and Fort Bliss, Texas.

He held a number of jobs but spent the majority of his career as a senior vice president for a data processing firm. He retired as an accountant and bookkeeper at the age of 72 and served as president of the condo association where he lived until he died.   

Bill was an avid tennis player for many years and treasurer of the Oak Park Tennis Club from 1992 to 2002. He took up golf in his 70s, had a hole-in-one, and was loved and cherished for his quick wit and personable treatment of everyone he came in contact with.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marion (Newport) Biagi; his eight children, Jennifer (Mark) Bailey, Alison, William (Michelle), James (Jo Ellen), Robert, Thomas (Hazel), Adele Roman, and Amelia (Mike) Labbe; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many close friends.   

Visitation will be held at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Desplaines Ave., North Riverside on Saturday, Aug. 15 from noon to 3, followed by a memorial service.
