Parents who want to help their college-bound teens remain aware and safe are invited to attend an advance showing of an award-winning documentary about sexual assault on college campuses. The film, The Hunting Ground, has been viewed and discussed by teens, parents and educators throughout the Chicagoland area. A special preview showing on Wednesday, July 17, is for parents and educators to help parents start a discussion with their teens. The teen presentation will take place on Wednesday, July 31. At that showing, there will be an opportunity for the students to discuss the film with a counselor present. Parents are also invited to attend the July 31 showing.
Parents, please join us on Wednesday, July 17, at 7 p.m. in the Ascension Pine Room, 601 Van Buren, Oak Park. Refreshments will be served. To RSVP by July 14 or for more information, please contact Roberta at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This film is appropriate for college-bound (junior/senior) and college-age students and their parents; it is not appropriate for children. It is sponsored by the Domestic Violence Outreach Ministries of local parishes.
