We spied our new neighbors making progress on the Oak Park location of the popular restaurant, which will also be home to Oak Park Brewing Company, at 155 S. Oak Park Ave.

The solar panels are in place atop the building, but the front windows remain covered.

According to Hamburger Mary's Facebook page for the Oak Park location, "Mash Tun, Fermenters, and Serving Tanks being delivered!!! Opening Date still TBD.... but we're getting closer."

Has there been any progress recruiting new businesses and dining establishments to locate in the neighborhood near the new gymnastic center at Humphrey and Lake? There was a lot of talk that the state-of-the-art facility would help spur commercial development in the area but nothing so far. Does Village Hall or OPEDC have any news to report?

Deborah, it is the first vessel in the brewing process, where the grain is mixed with hot water. See: Looking forward to them opening, maybe even this year.

I'm really looking forward to this place opening - but man, it's taking forever.
