Oak Park Falcons flourish in home tournament

12U Falcons Black squad wins title, while 10U and 14U finish second and 12U Falcons Green team take third

The Oak Park Falcons hosted their 5th Annual Falcon Fest Invitational Softball Tournament over the weekend of July 10-12.  The tournament included 18 total teams at three different age levels.  The Falcons had 4 teams participating in the tournament - one at 10U, two at 12U and one at the 14U level.

The 12U Falcons Black team finished pool play with a 2-1 record, but rallied in bracket play to win the 12U championship over Hiawatha Park.  The 10U and 14U Falcons teams each finished second in their championship games.  The 12U Falcons Green team finished third in their level.

Oak Park Falcons is a partial-year travel softball program for Oak Park Youth Baseball and Softball (OPYBS) players.  OPYBS is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization that runs baseball and softball programs for 1,500 children ages 5-14 in Oak Park.  For more information, please visitwww.OPYBS.org.
