You know who you are. You drop a student at OPRF High School, proceed south on Scoville, look up from your iPhone long enough at the Lake Street intersection to check for police cars, and ignore the Right Turn Only signage, proceeding straight or turning left. You disrupt the flow of traffic behind you and put pedestrians and Lake Street motorists at risk as they are not expecting your disrespectful, not to mention illegal, behavior.

Here's a simple answer: Post a prominent sign in the pedestrian island saying YOU MUST TURN RIGHT. NO EXCEPTIONS. CAMERA ENFORCED. You won't even have to bother with a camera. The other answer is tire-puncturing grating but my wife tells me that's just mean.
