Harry Michalski, 87, an Oak Park resident, died on May 20, 2014. Born on July 5, 1926, he served in the U.S. Navy and worked at Signode/ITW as a tool and die maker and a computer systems analyst.
A truly kind man, he lived his life caring for others and will remain in their hearts forever.
Harry Michalski is survived by Pat, his wife of 65 years; his children, Cathy, Jim (Gina), Larry (JoAnne), Cindy (Phil), Carole (Mike) and Tom (Lisa); his grandchildren, Jenny (Dan), Brian, Eric (Marissa), Patrick, Maura, Max, Kevin, Henry, Maddie, and Piper; his great-grandchild, Aviva; and his brother, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on May 26 at Salerno Funeral Home in Chicago with a funeral Mass on May 27 at St. Edmund Church in Oak Park, followed by interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. For additional information, call 773-889-1700.
