11 years ago, Bette welcomed me to our little neighborhood with a flat of Impatiens and kind introductions to all our neighbors. We'd chat everyday when we were out walking our dogs and and got to be good friends over the years. One record winter, my cat got out and was lost for 3 weeks. Bette found him and saved his life. When she couldn't take care of her Westie any more, I adopted her and she lived with me until she passed at 15. I like to think that Bonnie happily welcomed Bette home.
