After reading your Viewpoint regarding the Oak Park and River Forest High School reprinting of the Tabula yearbook [Our Views, Viewpoints, May 29], I was disturbed by the full mention of both board member's names and also describing them as "both white males." Being involved in both communities for over 30 years, I understand how hard it is to keep diversific  ation and inclusion alive and active, but there also needs to be a tolerance for those who may not agree and feel differently. Therefore, providing their identity along with their definitive sex/race was not in the best interest of creating the necessary broad spectrum that the Journal is trying to instill in their readers.

And besides, if one investigated further with the Anti-Defamation League, the hand symbol that has brought this situation to fruition is not even considered a problem! (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/ok-sign-not-hate-sign-statement-clarification-adl-a7716556.html).
