Oak Park Public Health Director Mike Charley announced on May 30 that two more Oak Parkers have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the village of Oak Park’s number of cases to 290. The individuals in the two newest cases range in age from 20s to 50s.

On May 29, Charley reported that four residents between the ages of 20 and 50 tested positive for COVID-19.

The village cannot release further information regarding any of the cases due to privacy laws. However, as with the previously reported cases, it also released the following announcement:

“The Oak Park Department of Public Health is working closely with officials from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), investigating and notifying anyone who may have had exposure to the individual who tested positive for COVID-19. Local public health officials, hospitals and first responders are following protocols consistent with the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”
