Oak Park police boarded the Green Line train at Marion Street and South Boulevard and caught a 23-year-old man who allegedly took a cellphone and headphones at knifepoint around 7 p.m., May 27.

The 20-year-old victim told police he was in the vestibule of his apartment building in the 900 block of South Boulevard, when he was approached by the robber, who allegedly punched the victim, then displayed a knife and demanded his earbuds and cellphone. Oak Park police shortly found a Chicago man matching the offender's description on the CTA Green Line train and took him into custody. Lashaun Hodges, 23, of the 1700 block of Narragansett in Chicago, was identified by the victim and charged with armed robbery.
