Kathleen Hennessey (nee Dorn), 68, died on April 30, 2016. Born in Chicago on Aug. 3, 1947 to Mathew and Ann Dorn, she graduated from Siena High School in Chicago and from Dominican University. She lived in Oak Park for 45 years and was a longtime parishioner at St. Giles Church. She retired in 2011 after many years of teaching in the Berwyn Public Schools and at Ascension Catholic School. 

Kathleen Hennessey is survived by her husband, Michael; her children, Beth Hennessey (Michael Piskur), Bridget (Thomas) Sibo, Jane (James) Watson, and John Hennessey; her grandchildren, Maya Hennessey, Makenzie, Fiona, and Savannah Sibo, and James and Avery Watson; her siblings, Mary Ann (Luca) Campo, Margaret (James) Smalley, and John (Kate) Dorn; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 4 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Drechsler, Brown & Williams Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Giles Church, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
