Iconic fashion consultant Tim Gunn didn’t visit Dominican University over the weekend, but his signature phrase, “Make it Work” inspired the school’s apparel design students for their annual fashion show.
From bridal and swimwear to fantasy and couture, 40 student designers showed off 122 outfits in three shows of “Pashtiche” at Dominican’s Performing Arts Center.
For 11 seniors, it was a final performance to showcase special collections that ended with each designer taking a bow on stage.
“It’s ridiculous,” said senior Erin Von Kannon before the first show. “You get a big drop in your stomach before you send something on the runway. It’s rewarding. You say, ‘Oh my God, I made that.'”
