So Mark Meagher thinks, "anecdotally," a $900,000 home in Oak Park will pay $12,000 in real estate taxes.

He left out the part about pulling a Pritzker, removing the toilets and convincing the assessor the home is uninhabitable. Otherwise, $27,000 or more is a better guess — $12,000 should cover the taxes to District 97.
