Mann Elementary School in Oak Park will host a meeting with administration and school board officials on Wednesday, April 4, in the wake of a state testing scandal that resulted in the resignation of the school’s principal. District 97 Superintendent Albert Roberts and school board President Peter Barber will attend the 7:30 p.m. meeting, which is planned to run 90 minutes.

Nimisha Kumar, principal at Mann School, 921 N. Kenilworth Ave., resigned on March 22 after a district investigation discovered that some of her staff mishandled testing materials used by students while administering the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT) in early March. Kumar will stay on through June 30. The announcement, however, occurred two days before the start of spring break for the district, which wrapped up last week.
