The last of OPRF’s “Parent University Series” is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8 at the high school, 201 N Scoville. The parent workshop series is a program of Chicago-based nonprofit Black Star Project. The program helps parents help their children deal with certain issues.

This is the first time ever that OPRF has hosted a Parent University, which is open to high school parents, as well as families in District 97 and 90. The first two workshops took place on April 10 and 25. The May 8 workshop’s theme is “Kids These Days: Helping today’s youth cope with today’s struggles.”
