Thank you for the extensive and continuing coverage by Lacey Sikora in the Homes section. She is doing our communities a great service by publicizing our historic architectural heritage. In her article last week on the Frederick Schock houses in Austin [Architectural heritage across the border, Homes, April 10], I appreciated her interview with one of the homeowners, Jerry Ehernberger, including mentioning his connection to the Oak Park Regional Housing Center. The Housing Center's founder, Bobbie Raymond, played a significant role in promoting the historic Austin neighborhood decades ago. There is a wealth of significant architectural history in Austin, and Lacey has given us an enticing introduction to it. Her stories are always informative, and the photography of Alexa Rogals really captures the beauty of the sites. I was happy to see Lacey's name mentioned several times in the list of awards that the Wednesday Journal recently received. She deserves the credit and the recognition.
