My friend Bill Sullivan is running for election as Cicero Township School Trustee.
What is the Cicero Township School Board? It owns the land where Oak Park schools are sitting. It controls and oversees funds of about $400 million, mostly disbursement of tax receipts, for Oak Park, Berwyn and Cicero.
And, it’s dominated by the Town of Cicero political machine.
Bill Sullivan is a life-long resident of Oak Park who cares about Oak Park’s kids, schools and taxpayers. He wants to make this board more responsive and more responsible. Bill wants independent audits of board finances. He wants regular meetings of the board with regular reports of board actions.
