Once again, we in Oak Park are being led by the nose down a familiar path. I refer to the request by the developer of the Lake and Forest complex asking for a third extension of time to start the project [Oak Park hotel proposal may be postponed again, News, March 2]. The request was granted. Where have we heard this story before? It seems that every time Oak Park is involved in a building project it becomes a charade. Is this poor judgment or poor management by the administration or what? As usual, in the end it is the poor taxpayer who pays.
