The Wine Guy to host New Leadership Q & A

Lanny Lutz invites people interested in learning more about the New Leadership Party to 415 S. Wesley Ave., #39, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19.

Bob Milstein (presidential candidate), Jeff Baker, Martha Brock, and Greg Marsey (trustee candidates), and Sharon Patchak-Layman (village clerk candidate) will share their vision for an even better Oak Park and answer questions.

D97 candidates at the Buzz

The Buzz Café's series of election forums will continue on Thursday, Feb. 17 with candidates for Oak Park Elementary School District 97's Board of Education.

Candidates include Peter Barber, Julie Blankemeier, Vic Guarino, Kathryn Tortorice and incumbent Carolyn Newberry Schwartz.

Future Buzz events include: David Pope, independent village board president candidate, Feb. 24; Oak Park and River Forest High School District 200 board candidates, March 3; and park district referendum information and park board candidates, March 10.

The forums run from 7 to 9 p.m. on scheduled nights.

The evenings allow candidates the opportunity to introduce themselves and present a statement of platform; then the floor will open for a question-and-answer session.
