Deputy Village Manager Rogene Hill, who has served as the head of Oak Park's community relations department for the last six years, will be leaving the village to take a post in Arizona.
Hill will officially leave her Oak Park position on March 18, to take a job as an Assistant Manager with the City of Avondale, a community west of Phoenix.
According to a press statement, Village Manager Carl Swenson intends to "carefully analyze the current organizational structure under Hill," before he decides whether or not hire someone to fill the position.
Hill said in the press statement that the Arizona job is "a career growth opportunity that I cannot ignore."
