A few weeks ago I went out to patronize an establishment around the area of Oak Park Avenue and Lake Street. I had dinner and a few drinks with a friend and paid a good price for a good evening out on the town.

Upon returning to my car I noticed that I had a $30 ticket for parking in a restricted zone. There was no obvious sign that this was a restricted zone. The ticket Nazis had gotten me! I paid the ticket to get rid of it.

From now on I will never patronize any Oak Park restaurant or bar. I will stick to Forest Park, which is more business friendly. We are loath to ticket business patrons who bring money into our town. Now wonder why Oak Park businesses are moving into Forest Park.
