Oak Park-based Seven Generations Ahead, a non-profit group that promotes sustainable, healthy living, celebrated "A Taste of the Seasons" on Dec. 4 at Garfield Park Conservatory. More than 200 guests helped SGA raise almost $30,000 to support and grow its programming. During the evening, organic farmers and local supporters of the group's mission were honored. Guests dined on organic food and enjoyed a live jazz trio. Farmer and auctioneer Dennis Wettstein led a spirited live auction that included trips to St. Croix, Galena and Sarasota, a private cooking session with Jack Jones of Bistro Marbuzet and a farm tour for four families.
