I hope Wednesday Journal’s editorial team would address the fact that Matt Baron equated a Muslim woman’s speech as an act of or equivalent to an act of terrorism [When you see something, will you say something? Viewpoints, Nov. 25]. He did this in a comment on Nov. 22 and then in prime time in the published paper. In a piece deriding contemporary discourse as hostile and libelous, Matt Baron on behalf of elected Trustee Dan Moroney, traded in Islamophobia, belying a fundamental and hostile ignorance to marginalized members of our community and simple self-criticism and reflection.
