Jason Matthew Engel, 42, died on Friday, Nov. 13, 2020. Born in Hanover Park on Sept. 17, 1978, he graduated from Oak Park and River Forest High School in 1997 and graduated from Full Sail University in Florida with an associate degree as a lighting and sound technician.
Jason was son of Harold and Sally Engel; the wife of Jennifer (step-daughter, Serena); the brother of, Craig (Lorrisa), Cary (Tom), Christine (Jim), and Catherine (Eric); the brother-in-law of John; the nephew of John and Gloria, Ron and Kathy, and Jerry and Elaine; uncle to Lindsey, Rachael, Brian, Matt, Megan, Zachary, Lauren, Jeff, Blair, Sarah and Matthew; great uncle to William, Brian, Brooks, Willa, Hannah, and Kevin; cousin to Ken, Connie, Doug, Jennifer, Dennis, Lisa, Bryan, Jennifer, Brad, Mike, Kathy, Becky and Jon; and also his much loved dog, Daisy May, and cat, Newman.
There will be a virtual memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 at noon CST. Please emailcarymclean@comcast.net if you would like to be included.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations are accepted in Jason's name to Wounded Warriors Project; donate online to woundedwarriorsproject.org.
