A memorial for transgender women of color who were murdered in 2018 is displayed near the entrance inside the Oak Park Public Library on Lake Street. The display was put up for Transgender Day of Remembrance by the Trans Task Force.

Thanks for the photo caption on the very important Oak Park memorial that draws attention to the increasing murders of trans citizens. As statistics clearly show, in the LGBTQ community, the "T" members of color are the group most likely to be murdered, especially in the Trumpocalypse as my article and film on my Black-Mexican-Italian-trans-rabbi cousin, Ramona Hernandez-Perez, reports. https://chicagodefender.com/2017/05/23/facing-a-hostile-climate/
