I do agree that the only factor against the day care center is the high end streetscaping. However, it's not like South Marion is completely lacking in childcare options: the YMCA is just up the street and the OPRF Day Nursery is around the corner.

Great comment Marc. It amazes me that is Oak Park are unaware that churches, hospitals, resorts, major corporations, and swanky hotels and restaurants have recognized that children need special space in their buildings. They are smart enough to know that if you want the business of adults, or the employment of parents, you have to accommodate the children. This whole affair is about ignorance and snobbery.
