Over the summer we received several dozen entries in our first ever Cartoon Caption Contest. We have narrowed down the responses to ten finalists. Please VOTE HERE for your favorite caption.

The finalists are:

"To be honest,  the course has its ups and downs."

"Hitting a birdie up here takes on a whole new meaning."

"You have to agree that this course takes LEED certification to new heights."

"You see, Bob? I told you all these new high-rises downtown wouldn't infringe on Oak Park's 'green spaces'"

"See that cloud? It's the water hazard."

"Hurry up. Skeet shooting in Austin Garden starts in five minutes."

"And no one thought Pickleball would ever catch on, either."

"I hear the village is planning the back nine on North Avenue"

"You should see our bowling alley."

"This hole doglegs down about 75 stories."

Voting will end on October 15. VOTE HERE!

@Jeff Schroeder. I like your choice. All the entries are good, but since Marc cartoons not about life and humor in general, but about quirks in Oak Park life, there are only two that meet that standard: The one you chose, and the one about skeet shooting in Austin Gardens. Both relate to highly contested issues in recent history., and abuse of those areas of the Village.
