The conservatory: OP's tropical resort

My favorite place to be this time of year is the Oak Park Conservatory at 615 Garfield St. I enjoy sitting in the warmth and humidity and sweet fragrance of the greenhouse and watching the snow fall through the greenhouse windows. It's like looking at a charming winter postcard from the comfort of a tropical resort. The conservatory has beautiful flower displays which change every month or two from now through June. An added joy comes from a stroll though the three show rooms which combine seasonal displays of poinsettias and paperwhites with exotic plants and animals.
