Strikers Soccer Club tryouts
Tryouts for next year’s OPRF Strikers teams (U9-U14) will be held Saturday May 21, 2005. Pre-registration is required. Tryouts for girls high school age teams will be held Sunday, May 22. A tryout application will be posted on the website in early-mid March. The soccer year starts in August 2005.
AYSO spring soccer
Registration for the 2005 AYSO spring soccer season will take place on Saturday, March 9, from 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Longfellow Center. The center is located at Ridgeland and Jackson in Oak Park.
The spring soccer program is open for boys and girls in 5th through 12th grades (U12 to U19). The season runs from April to June and includes weekly practices and eight games. The high school teams are traveling teams that play AYSO teams from Chicago and the near western suburbs. The 5th – 6th graders and 7th – 8th graders will play in a coed program for each level and the teams will participate in a local soccer league. The fee for all players is $75. All teams will have the opportunity to work with Major League Soccer trainers and will follow the basic philosophy of AYSO: Open registration, balanced teams, everyone plays, positive coaching and good sportsmanship.

Football camp
The 23rd Annual Justin Gage/Revie Sorey All Pro Football Camp featuring Jerry Azumah returns to River Forest this summer at Concordia University.
The camp features Non-contact instruction by the nation’s top NFL pros and high school & college coaches.
All positions & all levels of ability are taught to boys 10 -18.
Although enrollment is limited, the camp is now taking applications.

PONY and COLT league
Registration for the Oak Park and River Forest PONY Baseball League’s 53rd season for boys ages 13 and 14 will take place Wednesday, March 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Longfellow Center, Ridgeland and Jackson in Oak Park.
COLT registration for boys ages 15 and 16 will take place on Wednesday, March 16, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Longfellow Center.
