IGOV will be hosting an assembly regarding the future of taxation on Saturday, Feb. 1. This event will have three featured speakers — state Senate President Don Harmon, Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi, and Oak Park Assessor Ali El Saffar. The three-member panel will discuss various topics regarding the future of taxes at the state, county and village levels.
The assembly will take place at Julian Middle School (416 S. Ridgeland — enter on the west side of the building). The doors will open at 9 a.m. with the event beginning at 9:20.
