The consulting firm studying the feasibility of capping the Eisenhower Expressway has narrowed down three concepts to one proposal, which will be presented in the village hall council chambers at 7 p.m. tonight.
The concept will include more detail than previous drafts, according to a village press statement. The likely hefty price tag of the project has been factored in, and the concept will feature three "variations" that reflect potential levels of funding.
A cap could include bridging some, or all, of the Eisenhower overpasses. The expressway is slated to be repaired, and possibly expanded, in the coming years.
