If you have a chance to get to Amelia's at Harrison & Circle in Forest Park you really must try their BBQ Pork Belly. It's a rich, slow braised hunk of pork belly they bring in from a small farm pork producer somewhere in Michigan. Their taste so good...like the way pork used to taste before the large producers leaned- out all the great taste in pig meat. Anyway, this dish at Amelia's serves up this great, juicy braised pork belly over a Cajun seasoned ensemble of red beans, rice, tomatoes, okra and some spunky-good andouille sausage making a lovely marriage of pork with more pork. And for good healthy measure they work in some organic kale and mustard greens to make you not feel so guilty ordering this indulgence. This is one satisfying dish so don't hesitate ordering it!
