I like the chicken and waffles at Chicago's Home of Chicken and Waffles, of course, but I prefer the deep-fried chicken livers, in part because it'd be hard to find such wonderful offal anywhere else in Chicagoland. They're also very delicious, and if you've never been particularly fond of this fowl organ, a bowl of these little livers is a good place to start.
In the most recent installment of the video series, "You Really Should Eat This," produced by the Village of Oak Park's Joe Kreml and Patrick Rollins, I also reveal my strategy for doctoring these lumps of deliciousness to make them even more delectable.
