Worship forms the heart of our congregation’s life. Weekly we experience the good news of Jesus Christ together through the proclamation of Scripture, sermons that are relevant to our lives, prayers that touch our hearts, music that draws from the rich Lutheran musical heritage and the celebration of Holy Communion. In September, the worship theme “Season of Creation” will emphasize our connection to the earth and our responsibility to care for it.
United is an oasis that nurtures the life of lived faith and challenges us to grow as disciples. Questioners and skeptics are welcome. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey of faith, you are welcome here. United cultivates and nurtures discipleship through Sunday School, Confirmation, Youth Group, Sunday Adult Education, book groups, a Young Adult group and small group ministries. Rally Day on Sunday, September 11 will kick off these activities for the fall, and you are invited to find a place waiting for you!
Care for the hungry and homeless form the heart of United’s service outreach. These ministries serve the church’s commitment to extend God’s justice to the poor and marginalized. September emphasizes our annual collecting of school supplies and health care items that are distributed to those who are in need around the world.
